History of Pismo Beach

Pismo Beach originally belonged to the Spanish. Jose Francisco Ortega’s grandson, Jose Ortega, was the owner of the land. Six years later, it was sold by Jose to Isaac Sparks, and later on he sold it to John Michael Price. Pismo Beach was officially established in 1891.
